Community Transport across Wyre Forest and North Worcestershire

Can we solve your local transport problems?

helping the elderly smallerCommunity Transport Wyre Forest exists to make life easier for people who cannot drive to their destination nor use public transport for any reason - or simply don't have any where they live.

We cater for people of any age with such limitations, taking them from their front door directly to their destinations, These could be appointments at medical centres or hospitals, lunch clubs, day centres, shopping trips and further education.

We utilise a group of of around 60 volunteer drivers who use their own cars, are all insured and DBS checked. We reimburse them for their running costs. For more details on becoming a volunteer driver see below or click here.

Passengers pay an annual registration fee and then journeys are charged at a standard rate, approved by Worcestershire County Council, depending on the distance involved.

Passengers pay the driver at the end of the journey.

In addition we offer a service to carry anyone who is confined to a wheelchair as we have several special vehicles which can carry a passenger sitting in their own wheelchairs.

These vehicles can be hired at a reasonable rate, if a suitably insured friend or family member would like to take the passenger out for a few hours, or even a weekend.

Journeys can be booked by calling the booking line 01299 405820 which is open Monday – Friday; 9.00 am to 2.00 pm.

Ideally we need a week's notice of journeys as we have to schedule our drivers' trips utilising our computerised system.

To use the services of Community Transport Wyre Forest you will need to register with us at a small annual cost. Registration is a very simple process which we complete over the telephone so please call us on 01299 405820 Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
