Volunteer Fair at Stourport attracts 3 new drivers

We were delighted to gain interest from 3 new drivers who came to find out about our charity at the Volunteer Fair at The Civic in March.

Our chief officer Beverley Coldrick co-organised the fair with The Civic and around 10 charities and community groups attended.

Beverley said: “It was great to get such interest and I look forward to welcoming our new drivers aboard. Our services enable people to continue living independent and fulfilled lives in the community and our drivers find it a very rewarding role, so I hope our new recruits will too.

“The fair was also a good opportunity to meet up with other local charities to chat with them about how they are doing.”

Caroline Caldwell, manager of The Civic, said: “We had a wide variety of organisations offering different sorts of volunteering roles, for example The Civic itself, Mentorlink, Reach Community Services and MIND.

“There are many ways of helping and volunteering is so worthwhile and ideal for people at home, or working part-time or retired.”
