Our door-to-door transport service is a lifeline for our many users, who, through disability, illness, frailty or remote living, have no other means of travel. What we can offer enables them to live independent, fulfilled lives, freeing them from isolation and the worry of how they are going to attend essential appointments, social and wellbeing activities or even go to the shops, visit a friend or relative.
We provide affordable transport for people of all ages, from students to pensioners, with services tailored to meet their individual needs, thanks to a small army of volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles. We also have our own minibuses, all of which are wheelchair accessible, and are also driven by volunteers.
The health and safety of our service users, volunteer drivers, staff and trustees is of paramount concern. All appropriate safeguarding guidelines are followed, our drivers are trained, insured and undertake Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, their vehicles and our own minibuses are regularly checked for road worthiness and cleanliness. The policies and procedures we follow can be read in Policies located below.
If you or someone you care for needs our services, please call us on 01299 405820 Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 12:30 or simply complete the Passenger Registration Form on the Become a Passenger page. We reimburse our drivers for the running costs of their vehicles and they volunteer what ever time they can offer.
